Vinod Khosla, an alumni of IIT Delhi founded Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Sun for short) as an American company that sold computers, computer components, software, and information technology services and created the Java programming language, the Solaris operating system, ZFS, the Network File System (NFS), and SPARC. Sun contributed significantly to the evolution of several key computing technologies, among them Unix, RISC processors, thin client computing, and virtualized computing.


Flipkart, the big billion e-commerce startup, was founded in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal, both alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. They left their jobs at Amazon and brought sales under the roof of technology. They started this venture when e-commerce was more of a risk than opportunity but with a clear vision of offering the best consumer experience to internet users, they witnessed incredible growth in the last 12 years.



Our very own alumni Deepinder Goyal, a maths and computing graduate, started an internet directory for restaurant menus out of his apartment in 2008 which now has become one of the biggest restaurant aggregator and food delivery startup in 24 countries and more than 10,000 cities.



Founded in June 2013 by Mohit Aron, who previously co-founded storage company Nutanix Cohesity is a privately held information technology company headquartered in San Jose, California. They develop software that allows IT professionals to backup, manage and gain insights from their data, across multiple systems. .The company's main product, DataPlatform, is hyper-converged software that allows businesses to consolidate a variety of workloads, including backups, archives, test and development, along with analytics data, onto a single cloud-native platform.



Policybazaar is India's largest online financial services platform. An Indian insurance aggregator and a global financial technology startup, the company was founded in June 2008 by Yashish Dahiya, Alok Bansal, and Avaneesh Nirjar. Since 2008, the company has been a key force in establishing an informative online financial services platform in India.



Since its inception in 2011, Delhivery has become India’s leading supply chain service provider, encompassing over 18,000 PIN Codes in India. Started with five co-founders, including our very own alumni Mr. Kapil Bharati, and a handful of delivery boys, the startup has now over 2500 plus employees who service a 600-client base across express and fulfillment logistics



Pranay Chulet is an Indian entrepreneur who has managed to build a billion-dollar business for the local market through Quikr, India’s leading cross-category classifieds platform. His vision of putting second-hand first is gaining popularity, considering the environmental benefits associated with reusing products.



Udaan is a B2B e-commerce platform, designed to solve core trade problems for small, medium and large businesses across India. It is the largest national distribution platform of its kind, enabling retailers and businesses to source merchandise from manufacturers, brands, white labels, importers etc. on a single platform. Sujeet Kumar is an IITD Alumni who brings to users the power of technology to grow their business via Udaan


Pine Labs

Pine Labs is an Indian merchant platform company that provides financing and last-mile retail transaction technology. Co-Founded in 1998 by Rajul Garg and Tarun Upaday, it provides a merchant platform and makes software for point of sale (PoS) machines. The company has more than 70,000 retailers across India, including major retail outlets such as Mark's and Spencer's Retail, Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop and Westside.



Rohit Bansal is an Indian entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of e-commerce platform Snapdeal which is an Indian e-commerce company that started in 2010. With millions of users and more than 300,000 sellers, Snapdeal is the shopping destination for Internet users across the country, delivering to 6000+ cities and towns in India



Founded in August 2014, Rivigo is one of the fastest-growing startups in India which provides express surface logistics all over the country. It was the vision of our alumni Gazal Kalra that today, Rivigo has reached 4000+ cities, 5000+ high-tech truck fleet with around 30k pin codes covered



ShopClues is an online marketplace established in July 2011 in Silicon Valley by Sanjay Sethi along with other co-founders. The company has over 600,000 merchants and 28 million products on its platform, serving over 32,000 pincodes across the country



A Computer Science graduate from IIT Delhi, Jyoti Bansal founded AppDynamics in April 2008 which grew onto becoming a unicorn. This application performance management (APM) and IT operations analytics (ITOA) company focuses on managing the performance and availability of applications across cloud computing environments as well as inside the data center



Our own Mechanical Engineer, Sameer Gehlaut went on to become a renowned Indian businessman and founder & chairman of the Indiabulls Group, an Indian conglomerate headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Its primary businesses are housing finance, consumer finance, and wealth management


Nimble Storage

HPE Nimble Storage is a predictive flash storage technology developed by Nimble Storage and founded by our alumni Umesh Maheshwari along with other co-founders. Nimble is a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard Enterprise
